Privacy
Visual MD is a local-first Markdown reader. It does not require an account, operate an analytics service, track you, or collect personal data.
What stays on your Mac
The folders and Markdown files you choose remain on your device. Visual MD reads them only to build your library and display the document you select. Preferences and saved folder access are also stored locally.
Network requests
Visual MD does not send your documents to us. A document can contain a remote image or link. Loading that image or opening that link may contact the destination named by the document, which can receive ordinary request information such as your IP address. If you choose a custom theme that uses a remote font, its font provider may receive the same kind of request information.
Data collection
We do not collect, sell, or share personal data through Visual MD. Because we do not receive your library, we cannot inspect, recover, or delete it for you.
Changes to this policy
If Visual MD's data practices change, this page will be updated before the changed version is released.
